Design Day, Jubilee of Trees

I have not been to the local Jubilee of Trees in years but when I heard that my friend Jacob Beecher had a tree in the Jubilee of Trees I decided I had to go see it.  So the kids and I went for Family Home Evening the other night.  (It was an outing reminiscent of the outings when they were younger--no one's arm needed twisting to come and they all seemed interested in seeing the trees, so I had a sweet time.)
Here is Jacob Beecher's tree that won the Mrs. Santa Award.  (I did try to straighten my picture in photo editing but it moved it the opposite direction, so maybe I am the off-kilter one.)  This was his very first year in the Jubilee and then to come out with an award was just great!  I thought he did a wonderful job--and red IS my favorite color so he could not go wrong there!
Another of my favorite trees there was this tree, pictured above, that won the People's Choice Award.  It had scaled replicas of different pioneer buildings in the county (I love just about anything miniature).
The Sugar Loaf
Pine Valley Chapel
Judd's Store
I cannot imagine the hours that went into creating those replicas.  Here are pictures of just a few.  It was a great evening and there were a lot of pretty trees to see.  You know how I am about my Christmas "follies" . . . . I wonder where I could learn to make those replicas . . . hmm . . . maybe next year.
