These are sayings of my mother's. . . . Edna-isms.
1. Once, while I was in high school, my mother and I saw about five blond girls walking along the sidewalk. My mother's comment was, "They're all dyed out of the same bottle."
2. When we were leaving singly to go somewhere and meet up later, my mother would say, "See you on the ice!" I always thought this was something an ice skating performer would say, but I do not know its origin.
3. "Criminently!" The dictionary says this word is used as an expletive to express disbelief, disgust or dismay. Once again, a general purpose cuss word. :o)
4. "Glory be to Gideon!" Mom would use this expression when something good happened--much like someone would use "Hallejuah!"
5. "Gadzooks!" The dictionary says this word is used to signify alarm. Yep, another useful cuss word.
Quirks and all, it was good fun!

I'm fairly certain that I've heard her daughter cussing! (Gadzooks!)
