Yesterday evening, my first counselor SB was in charge of a special program at YW. It was to introduce the theme for the year, "Be thou an example of the believers . . . ." We had a special speaker DG who gave a great talk. SB's mother PB (who is also Stake YW president) had done a great job decorating the room and making refreshments. We gave each of the girls the Jenny Phillips CD that contained songs about the 2009 theme, and SB had designed cute envelopes for each CD. We had a special musical number (which I missed because I was helping with the refreshments). All-in-all, it was a great hour and SB did a great job. What was even better, all I had to do was show up and later help dish up the refreshments. It couldn't get better than that, could it?
