Just as we suspected.

Just a brief report from the family history center: it was just as we expected. New Family Search is a starting point, not an ending point, in research. In an aside, I had to show my recommend to the director and we had to enter my member number. All of my information (children, husband, my name and my ancestry) popped up on the screen. The director never left my side during the search and he had control of the mouse. He said that the system is not yet designed for everyone to access--it would crash the system--so we were pretty limited in what we did.
