Latest design interest

Several weeks ago, after doing a Google search for Royal Albert china, I came across this photograph on Flickr and immediately had to make it my "desktop" picture on my iPad!
This photograph is from a site called highteaforalice where these types of plates are not sold singly but are made into three-tiered serving sets as shown in the next two pictures from highteaforalice's Etsy site.
I think these tiered serving pieces are so pretty even though I feel a bit bad to know the vintage china pieces have had holes drilled into them in order to create these lovely tiered serving trays.

Here is another example from the Etsy site.
By the way, the tiered plates are listed there at $225 each.
Anyhoo, the plate collage photograph from Flickr so took my fancy that I decided that I would collect similar plates and try to create a display in my living room.
To date, I have found two plates that have a similar feel to highteaforalice's collection.
This was my first find in my search,
and this one was my second (it is more like a very shallow bowl than a truly flat plate). Both plates were deeply discounted items at a local antique store called the Merchantile.
All pretty plates to be sure.
