Sad cat farmer update

More bad news for local cats. Mom's cat Oreo has been missing for over ten days, following close on the heels of the death of Snowflake, another of Mom's cats.  Outdoor cats' lives can be precarious but two cats--one dead, one "missing" within two weeks' time--is suspicious.  Oreo could be obnoxious as I mentioned here but I wouldn't have wished him dead.  He was actually the most normal of Mom's cats.

About a month ago, L woke B saying there was a scary cat fight going on outside her window.  B scared the cats off but in the morning we noticed the sidewalk was just covered with cat hair--what a fight it must have been.  B told the kids to go check on Oreo who appeared to be resting under a tree.  Oreo was fit as a fiddle.  Obviously the cat fur was from the other poor cat who happened to run afoul of Oreo.

T, whose responsibility it is to feed the cats, chooses to think that Oreo is just being fed somewhere else.  I think so, too. Heaven.

Don't give up hope. Have I mentioned B's cat, Will, who wandered off once and never came home? Well, a year later I was visiting teaching about 2 blocks from my house and there was Will! He still won't come home but at least I know that he has a good home. The stinker. After all the money and love we gave him!
