Edna-isms, Part Twenty-nine

1.  "Flinkydink."  This was used in place of someone's name, particularly if she couldn't remember the person's name.

2.  "Stink Bomb."  This was used in place of someone's name but in a different way than #1.  One of us kids might throw a tantrum and she might reply to that, "OK, Stink Bomb, are you finished?"

3. "Go, run the house around."  She might tell us to go run around the house, such as after Thanksgiving dinner to make room for dessert, and she'd jokingly say to "run the house around."  Often, instead of saying "house," she'd say, "hoose" which rhymes with noose, goose and moose.

Patty, your memories of your Mom and the cute things she said are bringing back wonderful memories and sayings of my Mom.
Whenever I would say "Mama, I was just thinking..." She would interject "Did it hurt/". Yes, sometimes it did hurt.
I look for the day when I can hug my mom again.
