OK, any of you who have already seen these on my Facebook post, ignore them. I think the spider hair clips or lapel clips are so D.A.R.N. cute that I need to post the pictures here, too.
Here are some of the beaded spiders we made at Young Women yesterday evening. I made the green and black one, third from the left on the top row. The girls made all the rest that you will see here.
Here is KS's cute spider. I like how long the legs are on this spider!
Here is KH's spider. I love that sparkly jeweled rear end!
These were made by two sisters, BG and MG. They made the first one for their mother who is my 2nd counselor. I love it--school colors! The pink one is very pretty and the green one looks a bit like mine, huh?
This one my daughter L made. I like the pearl-look of it.
I haven't been more excited about a YW activity ever. I love creating things.
Here is a YouTube tutorial about making spider hair clips. This would be a fun project anytime but particularly as Halloween approaches.
I just noticed that these particular spiders on YouTube don't have a bead for a head. Perhaps you could go to about.com and see written instructions about making beaded spiders and between the two of them come up with an idea of how to do it.
TTFN!
