Edna-isms, Part Thirty-seven

1.  "Up to our usual tricks" or "Up to our old tricks."  This would be a response to a "how are you" question or it might be used about someone else who was up to no good.

2.  "That would be the kiss of death."  She used this phrase to mean that something would be the end of some plan or activity. This was not usually used as part of a sentence but as a response phrase.

3.  "I'm busier than a one-armed paper hanger."  This is one of my personal favorites because it is exactly how it feels sometimes to be so busy and not making much headway on some big project.  Mom would use it to mean she was extra busy.

Crazy YW Activity

Somehow I was roped in to helping with a Young Women activity last week.  Along with several others, I was asked to dress up so the girls would not recognize me and I was to walk around Walmart while the girls tried to find us.  I knew I needed to somehow cover my hair and my face to the extent I could while not looking blatantly costumed.  I decided to go as a firefighter. Ha!  You can see the results.  Here I am with the other "suspects" aka "lost sheep" and definite good sports.  It was completely outside my comfort zone but I had said yes BEFORE knowing the details.  Note to self . . . .

Quick little summer project

I just finished making a cute little lap quilt for L to take to school in the fall.
